How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

So your surprise made me go ahead and check my dealers website and my pro is there. However it's just website photos and not like pictures of it sitting in a lot. So really not sure if it's there or not as it was scheduled to be there on the 6th but it has been in transit since the 21st

 

Mine showed up on the website for about a week before it arrived. I think it's automated based on the shipping. So even if the vehicle isn't at the dealership yet, it's probably close.

Yeah most dealer inventory will be posted to their website once its in transit. That's why most dealers websites will show 12 tacomas in stock, but in reality they are either sold already, or in-transit and already bought, and theres nothing on the actual lot.

 

My truck got moved to ground status today and they let me fill out paperwork. Still isn’t on lot but should be any day now! Guess it’s good I’m slammed with work otherwise I’d be going crazy.

 

I really wish I had a dealer daily account so that I could personally track the status of my truck and go crazy refreshing the page every 5 minutes

here's the story. TRD OR Premium DCLB Cement.
built 6/1 in Baja
arrived to the dealer 6/22 with 7 miles on the odometer.
picked up 6/22 evening
left for vacation 6/24 with 300 miles on the odometer
got home from vacation 6/30 with 1230 miles on the odometer. Awesome truck. Love it! Too tired to write any more.

 

sheesh. Someone drove your truck 900 miles while you were away on vacation!

 

Right? I think I might have a new record for putting 1,230 miles in the first 8 days of ownership.

 

Switched from cement to army green, same builds going to dealership, army green lost temp vin first. ~July 13 doa, feel like a kid waiting for christmas

 

Funny thing: I was told on 6/20 my truck would take 3 months to get in. I contacted the sales person on 6/25 just to make sure the order went through and there were no complications. He said yes and it was still take 3 months to get in. On 6/29, he texted me a picture of my truck at the dealership and ask me when did I want to pick it up. I couldn't get down there immediately, but I should be picking it up on Friday!

slowcpa- hopefully you'll have the same experience since you bought at the same dealership!

 

I called my dealership the other day and asked for a temporary VIN and build date. They told me that they don’t have that information yet. Toyota hasn’t allocated the order. I might find out something today or tomorrow. Toyota is only honoring the discount on special order Tacoma’s not the ones on the lot.

 

@assuptgm they honored the $500 discount that expired @ the end of April? Or are you referring to another one?

 

I’m talking about the Toyota employee discount.

 

Do dealers receive new allocations on the first of the month?
