Bit the bullet a while back and can honestly say it’s been well worth it. Dave and Parker made a pretty damn high quality product. Did I absolutely need to buy one, nope, but I’m dang sure glad I did.D148A280-CAB8-4A91-BD91-02DC61BD98C9.jpg

TW won’t let me post a link but if you head to overland bound, under forums and DIY, search simple truck bed/fridge slide

Thank you, sir! Really appreciate the response and helping hand. Great product by the way! I’ve watched a couple videos where you, your product, and setup are featured. Genius design!

Ooooh good question. The slide I built is 1/4” thick sitting on top of the bed ridges. The DB is additive in height which helps. I can’t remember the specs on the Dometic but I think it’s about 18”. My fridge clears the center support of the DB cover by like 1/4”. Measure it at that point and see what you’ve got

the dometic is exactly 18.58'' tall but the tacoma second gen bed is 18'' in height the third gen is 19.1'' so i was wondering if the DB sat just a bit higher somehow to allow the fridge to fit

If anything the DB covers detracts from the overall height because of the rubber weatherstripping, but very minimally. It would be nice if someone built a trim ring that lifted the entire DB cover because then any Dometic slide would work.

Yeah it would be cool but problematic because it would leave a gap in the tailgate or just be the same amount of clearance. Unless the trim that raised the DB cover was separate and attached to the tailgate top edge

Someone should build one! Maybe something that replaces the bedcaps?

Of course you would need a matching height piece on the tailgate.
