Interested as well. Normally they say 265/70/17 is the largest you can go with no rub.

I haven't had any issues with rubbing but have only had this set up for 24-hrs. Turning the wheels lock-to-lock I don't get any rubbing at all, so don't expect any. At least on asphalt. The closest it gets is the backside with the mud flaps. Photos below. Again, this is with the OEM lift kit which is a 2" front lift.

Just got back from the local tire shop! Switched out my stock wranglers with 22k miles and terrible wear patterns for Wildpeak SL 265/75/16. Love the look! They look even better in person. Gas mileage was the same as I was getting before from what I can tell approx 20 mpg. I made sure they put the raised lettering side out. No rub on my OEM mudflaps so far. Stoked!

Accidentally posted this on the Toyo Open Country page first lol. I’m happy with my choice!

I want to get these when my new wheels get in. Not sure what size I'll be able to fit with no rubbing and stock suspension. The wheels are -12 offset so I'm guessing that will make a difference.

I have a similar setup and I removed the front flaps to give it a bit of extra room... it was a bit too close for comfort

Over the weekend, I did notice some rubbing with the middle part of the front flaps. Looks like they do rub slightly midway between straight and full turn. Noticeable when backing up but not so much going forward.

You could try trimming the material back a bit but I don’t really find the front flaps do much anyway… my truck is under coated so I’m not too concerned about rocks getting kicked up and hit those components. My biggest concern was with how tight it was an if I get snow packed in there or heavy mud it might rip something off or keep the wheel from being able to turn :frusty:

Makes sense. I'll have to think about that. I took the flap off to get a closer look at it and there doesn't seem to be much to trim. Might have to drive without the flap on and see whether that's better. But you're point about wheels being caked is well taken.

This is where my 275’s rub on my stock SR, on a steep downhill, fully locked turn.
Note that I have 2020 4Runner wheels mounted. For me, doesn’t seem like it’s affected the truck much at all.

285/70/17 and do not feel the need for a re-gear. Obviously requires a CMC if you do any dirt at all. Was told by a falken product manager their tires are on the burly side for their actual load rating (example he gave me - P Rated Wildpeaks = C rated K02s). looking at weights it make sense however YMMV and it could be marketing hype.
