    Maybe we do have about the same size stuff as yawl. Next time I’m at the other shop I’ll see if I can get a picture of the long lathe they have. I don’t know how they keep the chatter out of turning something 20’ long.

    I remember seeing some of the stuff you work with and figured it was similar. I just better be done with my Jeep stuff before I retire. I'll probably whip out a few aluminum links before the final day.

    The Machine/Weld shop has the big equipment that we haul our bigger stuff to. I can't say for sure, but I would bet good money the lathe has seen more side jobs than actual power plant work.

    Nah the diamond batteries completely encase the radiation and just use a couple leads to direct the current. Very little risk and they chance of breaking are slim since its encased in, well, diamond.

    Worst exposure story I read/heard about was the guys in japan who accidently overmixed and the one 'survivor' was kept alive in a hospital for testing until they finally let him die.
