I keep mine unmounted. I hold it up to the windshield for the rare times I take the express lane.

Folks lining up to try to hit the toll right at 3:30pm should make for a good show.

I dislike the fact that it's something totally possible lol

I've seen all kinds of shit on e470 including people driving through closed lanes to avoid having to pay the toll

I spent last Saturday doing that. 2 hours to highlands ranch. Gotta go back and pick up what I dropped off soon and I'm actually dreading it.

I swear there are scant inches distance between vehicle mirrors on some of those sections. Kept waiting for that "nudge" into the Jersey barrier.

    Right!
Had some dude in a Ford go by me in the left lane, and his mirror was just a few inches from rearranging mine. The pucker factor on that interstate rivals any trail in Colorado.

Not that I liked it... but I never seemed to have too much trouble driving the Tacoma. Then, I borrowed @Night Eagle car for a week and suddenly was getting cut off constantly. When I was back in my truck, things went back to normal. I think there's an intimidation factor with the lift and steel bumpers.

When I drove my Yaris I was invisible to the world and would get cut off, and tailgated more aggressively.

In the rattletrap Tacoma everyone stays faaaaar away.

The Ford is a happy medium.

It's funny switching vehicles but driving the same and noticing the difference in how people react.

There's the occasional exception though. I was on I70 the other day and there was a Subaru tucked so far into my ass I couldn't see him in any of the mirrors for a couple minutes. When he finally got an opening he zoomed around me and cut me off. By the time we parted ways a couple miles later he was about 3 cars ahead in the 35mph sea of mediocrity

It sucks and I avoid making that drive.

I have a buddy making the drive from FTC 5x a week. When he took the internship he was like "an hour fifteen commute is rough but doable" and I was like "dude, it's gonna be 2ish hours each way or more depending on accidents"....

Takes me an hour fifteen to an hour and a half to get to Boulder and back on the average day and I can do it in 40~ minutes without traffic.

It’s not even accidents, it’s the fact that there’s literally construction and replacement of every single bridge / overpass from FoCo to Denver right now. Really it’s FoCo to Co Springs if we’re talking big picture. I don’t understand how planning and engineering can justify an 90 degree turn at 65mph and not expect issues to your comment, though. We need to adopt some road construction practices from China and bang that shit out in 5 months, not just milk the weed tax for a 10 year plan. Ridiculous.
