What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yep, just took a palm sander with 80 grit then wiped it down with acetone. Never had a problem with the flares I did over a year ago

I used adhesion promoter on mine as well. Great at the one year anniversary.

Ok. Quick question. Anyone got pointers on getting this damn stub shaft out of the diff?

I've done it before. I thought I just popped it out with a flathead screw driver, but it's not going the way I remember.

Trying to get this clamshell ready to send to ECGS.

 

Replaced the plunger and contacts in my starter.

Bit of a pain in the ass getting the top bolt off but nothing 26" of extensions and a swivel couldn't take care of

 

Just pry a bit harder. I usually use 2 pry bars or long big screw drivers. One constant pressure and one to give a good jolt downwards.

Actually, I got it... I used ECGS method #2

I think thats how I did it last time. Once it pops out from tapping on it from the other side, you pry it the rest of the way.

These, if you want LED. Word of caution, I had to carefully enlarge the holes in the circuit board that they go into, ever so slightly, to get them to go in. May have just been my board??!!
