    I got the 06 TRD 4x4 v6, and I would actually want one of these regular cab 4x4 4 bangers.
    Few reasons why:
    Short wheelbase=better offroad
    8.4 in. rear diff=supposedly stronger and when coupled with ARB air locker, stronger offroad than my 8 in. e locker rear(according to TTORA members)
    I love my access cab, but it has a huge wheelbase. My 91 F 150 extended cab 8 ft bed 4x4 was a few inches off the SAME wheelbase as this "mid size" pickup:eek:
    Gas mileage.
    WHY did toyota not make a v6 reg cab 4x4??????????? That is the question:confused:

    I see you are in Calgary. The regular cab is not sold in Canada. In the US, statistically, one in seven Tacomas is a regular cab.

    Probably just a matter of demand. Tacoma sales last year in the US were just over 100,000, out of which only about 15,000 are estimated to be regular cabs. To split that config even further between I4 and V6 probably wasn't economical for Toyota.

    FWIW , I am not sure you can get a non-4x4 in the AC or DC TRD packages here , ie no prerunners .

    Snow = 4x4

    If I didn't have a wife & kids to pack around, it's what I would have bought instead of the DC. I'll be looking for one when the kids are gone.

    but yea, I have only seen maybe 2 or 3 tops. They are few and far inbetween, unless being used as company vehicles that is like others have said.

    Ken got it right why the OP hasn't seen one .

    I checked the Toyota Canada website to make sure and I was correct too . The four configurations we can get here are :

    4x2 Access Cab
    4x4 Access Cab
    4x4 DCSB
    4x4 DCLB

    No DCSB for you. And there are only two TRD choices. If you want OR, you are limited to Access Cab. If you want Sport, you are limited to DCLB. Factory leather is an option tho.
