Wholesale lumber has dropped 40% in June so we should start to see the lumber prices start coming down soon.

    Because the new ones suck.

The 1990s Hilux/Pickup is the most reliable vehicle ever made e.g WhistinDiesel/Top Gear. 1st Gen and 2nd Gen Tacomas can still be seen on the road putting in work 20=30 years later. We have 3rd gens here with engine failures at 150K.

    That's too sad.
I almost bought a gen3 when my '09 was smashed in 2016, but I bought a 2012, and didn't regret it. I could have bought new, but there were no 4wd tacos available here, and no new LBDC either.

It has just flipped 50k miles, and the truck has been a joy to own. I still wouldn't sell it for what I paid (and I think I overpaid a bit.)

People have been calling me crazy when I tell them there's going to be a housing market crash in a few years...apparently a car market crash too...hopefully, I don't want these truck prices to stay how they are...or house prices either

I probably should have gone for the Ranger but I wanted a legendary Tacoma (2nd gen). I paid the Tacoma tax and I think next time I’ll just get a Ranger with a 6’ bed if that exists. I’m waiting to see if they release an electric or hybrid Ranger honestly

Take it to the 2nd Gen forum. They deserve this post, not us. We're just minding our own business. :bananadance:

I kind of laugh when people think this is not like 2006. How does a broke college recent graduate manage to buy a starter house well over $200k with basically nothing down and proceed months later to buy a $35k car.

I know what the person is making for money and he sure the fuck ain't that rich, but he sure does bitch a lot about being broke. The banks are back to being stupid again and they should have their heads examined. What's the daily repo approaching, nearly a trillion? There's lot of dumb money chasing too few assets

I mean it's not that hard to figure out. The banks know they will be bailed out on any bad decisions that come back to bite them in the ass. They are playing with house money.

The next time they should just let everyone fail, it's not until people get their dick knocked in the dirt that the learn.

There's no failing in our current society. Everyone gets a participatory Pontiac Aztek just for trying. (that pos is probably worth something now)

Yeah, should have been called Asstek. It's always #1 on everyone's top ten worst cars.

"1. 2001 Pontiac Aztek: It may be cliche, but it's hard to argue with. Drive one and you quickly realize that the Aztek's exterior design is its best feature. It's the very worst car of all time because it's the only car on the list to kill an 84-year-old car company. The Aztek drove the biggest and last nail into Pontiac's plastic-clad coffin."

If Pontiac was around today the could be selling an ugly version of the 3rd gen Tacoma. With an Aztek style front end, a functional Ram Air hood, dual exhaust, full plastic clad bedsides and front fenders.
