Well, the wife and I have decided that my access cab won't cut it for our upcoming baby (due November) but we probably won't be looking for a replacement until around the spring of next year. Kinda sucks... puts me in a holding pattern with the truck. Kinda pointless to do anything more to it now. I'm pushing for a double cab Tacoma but she's just not 100% it'll be big enough to really be comfortable. Hmm, decisions decisions. Already started poking around the 3rd gen section and also have been visiting tundras.com to get my feet wet on both those platforms. May even consider a 4runner and move out of a truck (although damn i like having a truck).

For what it’s worth, my double cab has more leg room and better ergonomics in the back seat than my wife’s car. We have made multiple trips to Colorado over the summer (21 hour drive) with our boys and the dog and there were no complaints...except when can we stop for food? Good luck! And Congratulations

The wife and I actually down sized from a Ram 2500 to our 08 DCSB. We are really happy with the room and the car seat for our 1 year old fits fine. We’ve also got two dogs that fit in back with the car seat too. We think it’s plenty of space and we wouldn’t change anything. Good luck convincing the boss!!

Those new headlights look good.

I'm thinking of getting some headlights like these instead of doing the BHLM (Black Head Light Mod) but have similar concerns about their quality and longevity...

Therefore, I have a question for you and anyone else - would applying automotive paint wax to the headlights protect them from yellowing/hazing as fast in the sun?

The reason I ask is because I live in sunny Florida and I once used one of those drill-gun 3M Headlight restoration kits on my old 2003 Honda CRV (which worked great!) and afterwards I applied 2 coats of Turtle Wax Hard Shell Paste and they didn't get hazy or yellow for the 2-3 remaining years that I owned it (and it was parked in the sun the entire time).

Just curious, does anyone knows if waxing the headlights helps prevent yellowing and hazing? Thanks!

I’m in the car wash and detail business. I waxed them when I waxed the truck. It didn’t seem to help.

Had a cousin restore the paint. Paint had bad water stains, now it looks like a mirror. Wet sanded some spots, buffed, polished and sealed.

I really need to do this for my Tacoma out here in AZ.

At the minimum my roof and potentially everywhere else. Did you post a link to the source you got yours from? Need to see what the budget may be and actually get this done this year.

I agree: DIY solutions seem like they're saving money but really don't do what this stuff was specifically engineered for.

My daughter fit in the back of my Pop’s access cab in a rear and front facing car seat. Tight, but it worked.

I got a double cab and she got in there with room to spare.
