My first time hitting dunes at Moses Lake, WA last Saturday. Holy hell it was hot but fun! Charged up dunes I would have had difficulty walking up. Got to perform some kinetic recoveries, great learning experience!

so I've been running an inexpensive electric cooler for many years now. I was like 130 bucks. I now have 2 100-watt panels that fold up really small. I have one little 250watt solar generator battery and I just added a 500watt. I just camped for 4 days near Easton. Powered the cooler all day every day. One battery on solar and the other running the cooler. Didn't spend a lot and it's all pretty compact, besides the cooler itself.

I picked up a Massimo CX30 from Costco for $275 after tax. Figured if I didn't like it, I could always return it at Costco. They had larger sizes but this was the only one that would fit under my tonneau. I also picked up a 720Wh Ecoflow power station.

Just used both this weekend on the peninsula. The 720 Wh battery lasted from when we left early on Saturday to when we left camp the next day around 11 am. It was down to less than 10 percent by that time. Once we started driving, it charged back up and was 100% by the time I got home to Seattle.

I think the fridge did admirably considering our record heatwave and the amount we were accessing the fridge and throwing non-chilled drinks into it as space freed up. No complaints besides maybe overall volume.

Speaking of which, I hope everyone is staying cool. Broke 111 here in Maple Valley. Our power grid held so our AC is keeping everything nice and cool. I saw that Auburn and Renton lost power at some point too. RIP.

We just lost power in Puyallup about 20 mins ago. Hopefully it won't be long before things turn back on.

Our power flickered twice, long enough to shut off our little air conditioner and reset the modem/router. I'm near Lake Sawyer market.

Yeah it flickered in the afternoon and then again around like 6? I’m on the east side of lake wilderness. That being said the last 3 years I’ve been here we’ve only lost power once during a windstorm but just for a few hours. Way better than when I lived in Renton.

Anyone on here happen to have a propane fire pit I could borrow for the weekend? Burn bans in both Okanogan and Gifford-Pinchot.

Do you mind lending it out? I'll get you a six-pack when I come get it. I'm free this evening to snag it if you're home.

Anyone know how big of a tire you can run on 3rd Gen with a 17x9 wheel? My 21 OR Came with 16’s.

edit* haha I know about the 3rd Gen forums and search function, I just wanted input from someone actually running it on our type of “off-roading” we do around here. I don’t need full tuck for most of these FS roads but I don’t want to rub either.

    265/70/17 or 255/80/17

That is a wide wheel with a negative (guessing) offset so that is where you might run into some rubbing issues.

Yeah I had 0mm on my 05 without issues, but these are -12. I would do minor trimming of the fender liner or even CMC, but I’m really not off-roading this to the degree I did my last one so I don’t want to waste my time. The Ken Block wheels are tight though.

These will stick out 62mm further than the stock wheels so some light trimming might be needed depending on tire size

Turns out they also make them in +1mm offset. I’m getting them.

Saw tons of third gens running Naches this weekend wheeling with some friends. One lady in the white “rebel” 3rd gen out there was killing it on Moon rocks. Out wheeling quite a few more built rigs. Wish I stayed a bit longer than just Friday and Saturday though. Need to swap my fat ass bumper for a high clearance.

Not shit for photos was focused on having fun lol. Was sick seeing my buddies run their front and rear steers buggies and running some trails with them going to and from the rocks. A8768428-0263-4F64-A09A-4363B6B6BA8E.jpg
