I would love to interview the guy who was responsible for timing the bear during their product tests. Lots of questions......

I wonder if they used zoo bears or wild bears.
I'll bet he was observing from a roof top tent:p

I've got the 55 and 77. On a recent 6 day fly-fishing trip, I used the 55. Used two blocks of ice (didn't pre chill cooler). Temps in upper 70's to mid 80's. Average use, opening multiple times per day. When I got home, both blocks were about 1/2 the size. Not too bad.

It's my primary cooler while camping. Works well. Beats the hell out of paying for a Yeti.

So really weird thing happened. Kinda awesome actually. I get home and there is a big box from Amazon. It contains a smallish igloo cooler I looked at on Amazon. I didn’t order it because I wanted a larger one in that color. There are a couple of receipts on the top of the first box that say "enjoy this gift from" and it was from the seller of the Lifetime cooler I bought the day before from Amazon. It has another receipt that said to scan to send a thank you note. Someone named Kelly sent me the cooler as a birthday gift. The one Kelly I thought it could be from didn’t even wish me happy birthday! It’s not on my wish list which is private. Has this happened to anyone?

OK, got some info wrong. I ordered the 72 quart Igloo cooler from walmart on the 28th or 29th. That monster is supposed to arrive friday. Todays cooler was shipped by Amazon. I donated money to a wildlife fund when I checked out, I wonder if "Kelly" is from there??? Anyway, now I will have a matching big and smallish igloo cooler and I also bought a 55 quart Lifetime cooler yesterday from Walmart. Yesterday was my birthday. Hmmm, its a conspiracy I think!

I've had my 55 for over 2 years now and have taken it on numerous camping trips without ever losing a single bite of food due to heat/spoiling. Last month I went to Moab for 4 days in near 100 degree heat and all my perishables aside from beverages (those were in an old GOTT, which works well considering its old AF) stayed nice and cold and some even were near-frozen by the time we made the 350-mile drive back home!

Why would anyone pay a premium for a Yeti when the Lifetimes work literally just as well for a fraction of the price. I keep mine on my balcony in the winter as a beverage fridge, it's perfect!

Damn, now I'm SUPER INTERESTED in what all of you have for camping food storage!! Anyone have any hacks or tips they would like to share?

I am searching for the right cooler as well. Right now, the RTICs are on summer sale. They seem fairly comparable with YETI, and on a You Tube comparison, they performed a bit better than Lifetime.
