Little update on the Ripp ignition coils…….So I emailed them just now to inquire about the coils since they told me 6/30. The reply was simply “He didn’t notice my previous emails were about the 2nd gen coils.” (Even though I related it several times) he then went on to say no eta in sight. :annoyed:

I have! I have the CQuartz UK and their glass coating (can't recall the name). I didn't do any paint correction this go around so I'll do the coating when I can do a little paint correction on the next go-around. I've never had anything coated before so I'm looking forward to the easy maintenance washes.

Currently using LED Bi-LED retrofits. The lens is what looks like garbage is all.

Awesome. I’m actually looking a set to get myself but wanted a more accurate picture to go by before I pulled the trigger. I’ll buy them tonight!!!

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I have had good luck with the sylvania headlight restore kit. Little elbow grease and they are good after a couple of years now. Applying the included UV coating is key.

I know, but couldn't resist poking you. :boink:

Polish them up and coat them with a good UV protectant.

Doesn't put much faith into their trans/PS cooler kit that is also ETA TBD.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
    Headlights...

3M restore, clear wrap and ceramic coating. I like xpel. We wrapped the wifes uber german car this way and did my headlights after retrofit. Super happy with the results. It's pricey but a time saver and less maintenance.

I just ordered my new TRD pro headlights. I’ll be swapping the bulbs from my current headlights to the pros. My current headlights will then have brand new bulbs and will be available cheap if anyone is interested. They only have light fading on the top side of the plastic due to sitting in the sun. My opinion is it isnt bad, others my say it’s nothing at all. Definitely restorable. You guys will get them cheaper than a for sale post if I make one. I’ll send pics if interested.

AutoZone has a pretty easy headlight restore kit that hooks to a battery powered drill. Makes em look like new.

Yeah that was really disappointing to see today. I even called them about 2 weeks ago and asked specifically about the 1GFRE 4.0 coils and was told “yup, the end of the month”

I emailed and no way it will fit our trucks as it mounts in front of the heat exchanger and need 7/8-1” to fit.

Yah seeing all the new 2nd parts got me excited but looks like none of it really benefits it. Maybe catch can if someone doesn’t have one.

Any of y’all running the Camaro / Spal fan with the Autocoolguy HF-125? I need a sanity check on the wiring because it’s not working for me.

I’ve had the controller running a normal fan for a long time so I know the controller works perfect.

Looking at the Spal engineering catalog and the wiring seems straight forward + and - to the battery and the third pin goes to the controller. She don’t spin though.

It did not specify in the instructions that were put up earlier. (I forgot who posted them, sorry) But there was 2 extra pieces, depending on what brake setup the vehicle had and if manual. I'm about 98% sure that the bracket I just posted was to relocate the clutch resi.

I don’t recall anyone running it. Why did you go with this controller? Did you buy the demo kit or just source the fan?
