@Abeyancer how much is a Toro self propelled parts mower worth? A six pack?

It ran for about a minute and and a half then ran out of gas. Plug was fouled so got a new one. Fresh gas. Mower had air and spark but no fuel.

Took carb off and cleaned it in carb cleaner bath, no disassembly. New primer bulb and fuel line. Still not getting fuel. Left to sit overnight it puked all of the fuel on the garage floor. Float is stuck open. I stripped one of the bosses in the head putting it together.

Debating cleaning it up and putting a $20 Amazon carb on it or just giving up and giving it away.

Re replaced the compressor clutch after the one I just put on the used compressor I had locked up and now she's fuckin ice cold

Despite the larger V6 pulley on the V6 compressor on the 4 banger motor... Which despite what I've read on here will work fine

It cost 45 bucks to have the clutch and pulley resurfaced and new bearing pressed in

In my experience any walk behind mower with a deck that isn't rotted out is worth 30 to 50 bucks.

Regretfully 90% of all yard equipment made after 2000 has a needle with a viton tip to seal off the bowl, so disassembly is an absolute must if you wanna soak it in carb cleaner, otherwise that viton tip will swell and turn into goo. (Hence why you inadvertently dumped all the gas on your garage floor)

If it was my mower I'd slap that Amazon carb on it with new intake gaskets (one on either side of the carb) and jb weld that intake stud into the head.

If you wanna give me the m/n and serial number I'll look up the part numbers for the gaskets. Should be at the rear of the mower by the flap you lift to install the bag, probably something like 20070 for a m/n

Hmmmm maybe I'll add it to the todos.

I picked up a Poulan with a B&S motor for $50 to replace it in the meantime.

Definitely put it in your todos... in my opinion Toro is the absolute best homeowner grade mower behind Honda power equipment

What a feeling when you're looking at a vehicle you thought would be done in a few weeks tops...and the seasons have changed a couple times since

I didn't even have to fluid film the taco last winter :anonymous:
