    04 dbl cab lifted pre-Runner
    added factory roof rack, factory skid plate, removed cheesy running boards, built a pvc bike rack, added interior floor lighting, added decal plate under rear window, added sylvania silverstars, installed toytec ultimate 3" lift, added hella optilux yellow fog lights, added orange park lights to the turn signals, new 265/75/16 goodyear duratracs tires and raceline rockcrusher 16" wheels
    why does my fuel door open light stay lite on the dash?....the door is not open.

    2004 dbl cab v6

    try pushing the button in the fuel door manually and seeing if the dash light goes off?

    what button? my 2004 has a gas door button?

    No. I think it was just a screw up on toyota's part because I have yet to find a button. I'm pretty sure everyone's light stays on.

    ok maybe I just never have paid it any attention.....maybe it's been on all along.

    The fuel door light will always be on, it purpose to tell what side to fill up the truck at the gas station. I think it is annoying too, but somebody at Toyota thought it was important.

    OOOOOO your talking on the fuel gage itself? that little gas pump picture?

    I thought you meant the Physical outside fuel door, which I was curious about cause my 07' doesn't have one.

    The first gens have a light on the dash that says "fuel door" and it has an arrow beside it. It is right over the fuel gauge.

    881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.
    Never noticed any light.

    me either until i looked today. it is just the lettering that says fuel door and has an arrow pointing left. right above the fuel gauge. it is always lit up to remind the people which side the fuel door is :)
