Let's See Your Cats!!!

Oh yes Rick, I'd do anything for her! I loved my little girl & I know, she loved me. She would watch me go to the mailbox through the window, even though she knew I'd be right back, lol. Very devoted to me, would be the correct term. I miss her so much.

 

I totally agree, they pick you! You don't pick them.

 

He is chill. And those paws have some really sharp pointy things in them. I think sometimes he doesn't realize that, when he just reaches out to touch me and draws blood. We are working on that.

 

Yeah, just clip their claws once a month or so with a toe nail clipper. They'll be good to go. Lisa hated it, but once I was done, she looked at me like "Thanks dad!". NEVER ever declaw! Very painful for them!!

 

He is an outside only cat. No clipping will be done. Lots of critters would love to kill him.

 

Many on this thread already know the story of my late cat Maxine (Max). She was the absolute love of my life and I was definitely her human. When she passed I was absolutely devastated. Each day just got a tiny bit better and then Suki came into our lives; I was whole again.
Max had her favorite toy as well. It is this weird looking pink thing so we always called it her “monster”. We still have it to this day and I treat it like a lucky rabbits foot.
It will get better for you and if you have a day that’s particularly difficult just focus on the happy memories with her. If it’s meant to be a new kitty will find it’s way into your life as Suki did with us. I love her as much as I ever did with Max. Eventually, I knew that the emptiness I was feeling was because I was ready to love another kitty. You’ll know if or when that time is right with you. Hang in there!!!

Yep. Earlier this morning I was hearing a weird noise and was trying to figure out where it was coming from.

He was snoring in his perch

...and in true kitty fashion, he's still there.


Such a rough life.

 

I'd run around house also, thinking what the heck is that noise, only to find her snoring. Hilarious!
