I've always wanted a torque stick for lugnuts but didn't want to buy a complete set. I did a little more digging today and found this gem. No need for an additional socket so I imagine it's pretty darn accurate. Close enough for lugnuts anyways. Maybe @crashdb needs one too.

Major setback. I’m grieving. The local deer have acquired a taste for tomatoes and cucumbers. There’s enough garlic oil and powder out there to stop a vampire. This morning I sprayed what’s left with peppermint soap.

    :annoyed:

I just got my new OEM power steering pump assembly in the mail. That pulley has some in and out play as well so it must be normal. I'll still swap it out but I'm in no rush.

Good news @EatSleepTacos. Accutune felt the fronts didn't need a rebuild.

Really? That’s awesome and surprising considering I’m the second owner. There’s probably 40k-60k on there.

Third times a charm. Hopefully these 500 lb coils are what I like. So far, they seem perfect. Dropped the one side down 3/4” which should put me where I want to be.

That IS surprising. I'll go with what they say. Just asked for a re-valve and done.

If you ever swap 18” coils onto 8” coilovers, one thing to be mindful of is coil block height. Coil block is when the coil is fully compressed and the rings are touching each other. For my specific coils, that’s 8.43” long per @AccuTune Offroad website.

What that means is when your shock is fully compressed, your two coil seats must be further apart than the block height of your coil. It’s easy enough to check with a measuring tape. For me, this is as much preload as I can add to the shock, leaving me a whopping 0.13” cushion at full compression.

To check on the workbench, you add the block height plus your shaft length. In this case, 8.43 + 7.5 = 15.93” minimum distance between coil seats. I’m at 16.06” as it sits right now.

Whew, these 500 lb coils are soft. I love it though. 550 probably would’ve been a better fit but I don’t want to swap on a 4th pair of coils.
