back in the late 90s I had 2 fenders painted at Maaco for $200. It was a 2 stage and came out really good. 0 orange peal.

When I first destroyed my original one, I called up the dealership to ask about a new one...they don't come painted and sell for $400 or something like that, plus another $400 for them to color match it for you lol. Nope

 

I have room, I don't mind.

 

I don't know how many times that diff exchanged hands but I ended up with a can of spam, bumper brackets, and some Whiteclaw that I refused to accept (put it back in Miguels truck)

 

If the '96 has a clean front end... maybe it would like to donate parts for a face swap on my '98?

 

Have you seen the ebay fenders that come painted to your requested color? I wonder how close they acutely get.

 

Had one of those, would say hi by charging at you full speed, knocking you down, than smerking and running off

Wait they do that for fenders too? I've seen their tail gates on ebay and have heard they are actually really nice.

Fuck I'll have to look at those fenders now lol. The issue with the aftermarket ones is that the gaps are usually bigger than OEM when its installed.

 

That diff is like a $2 whore, She gets around!

 

Funny thing is, one of my craftsman totes made it to so cal and back up north.

98 - 00, 1995.5 - 1997 had the OG front end

I don't think the 98 - 00 is awful or anything, but it is bland compared to the other two iterations. The OG Toyota LC badge looks good on the 98 - 00 front though. Looks weird on the 01 - 04 grill
