Not a spyder knowledge guy, but that looks like a wolf spider. Hunt their prey not by web, but by capture physically. Those guys can jump, and I've seen some big ones around here. I'll try to avoid harming them, cuz I hate bugs.

Banana spyders, fvck them with a brick

That's why I'm oil spraying the shit out of this truck....

May have to keep it for the next 30 years....

At least the front seat will feel more comfortable when I'm in diapers .

We're getting near the end of an era where you can buy options and bolt them on yourself... soon it will be leasing software updates. (It's already started).

I also love how all these governments go after the little guys with ICE vehicles....

It was calculated that just Carnival Cruise lines emissions were higher than all of Europe's ICE emissions...
and Carnival doesn't burn the crappy grades of fuel....
that the many more container ships use...
Bunker fuel is almost like coal tar, and that is the better stuff they run near the ports...
The stuff they run as sea is almost coal tar, they have to heat it up and mix fuel oil in it so it will even flow through the pipes to the engines.
Amazing how we all have to purchase electric vehicles,
but the Uber rich can create twice the pollution just to keep their costs down so we can get those cheap products made in countries without labour and environmental protections....

That’s why I spend so much time taking care of my undercarriage. I am at over 10 years of ownership on a 20 year old truck and plan to keep it until I can no longer push the clutch in. My son or my nephew will get the truck if I can keep it maintained.

The only thing that wears out a first GEN is SALT and the second GEN has also proven to be a super reliable vehicle but also susceptible to salt. There are so many high mileage owners 1st GEN owners in the western US with trucks that have lasted for a long time. Very simple trucks to work on with minimal electronics. My truck is so basic it’s hard to believe.Obviously you need to stay up on your maintenance and replace parts that wear out.

I hear you on the diaper thing for seat comfort although I’m almost at the stage I need to buy some Depends so I’m not worried :yay:

Looks at BMW with their subscription parking metering
also looks at Tesla and their hatred towards people rebuilding and restoring scrap yard Teslas forcing them to not be able to use the supercharger system...

Replaced the Subaru headlights today. OEM outer lenses got cloudy after 10 years of sunlight exposure.

Went with KHC P/N K310062-00-B2 with switchback LED running lights and turn signals:

Now have to wait until evening to aim them.

    So...
Since the parts came in today instead of Tuesday, I gained at least +5 overland and a bazillion mall crawl points with this stuff...20210702_173604.jpg

@llamasmurf I agree with you on things without installation instructions. No how to, fuck off...

Hopefully tomorrow I will utilize @Tridet167 donation to the slowest build of this thread.

Oh, and I did put bed stiffeners. Someone said they're cool...
