Ordered the Bravo on 4/13 and got the shipping notification today (6/30). Eight to ten weeks was the estimate when the order was placed.

Yup, I think I overcranked and dislodged the thread insert, or whatever is in there. No fix that I know of. I'm just going to lop off the bolt and fill in the hole with something to waterproof it. I think the 7 other mounting screws is enough to keep the rack from flying off. Total operator error on my part. The rack came with a warning that the factory threads are stubborn. They were right.

If 8 is good, 7 is good enough, 6 is fine and 5 will hold it

Just remember to cast the manspell on it by slapping it saying "that'll hold" outloud.

Those who have the older rack mounts made from aluminum.. do you guys get a pretty good amount of flex if pulling up on a handle?

I get zero flex pulling myself up with the handles.

It looks like one or more feet are loose in the channel, but from the video it is a bit hard to tell for sure.

Yeah @Jeffvt0508 when you pull it everything moves with it, so I'd give those a good turn or two and see if that helps.

If you want a hand with it, drop by.

Just me, but I'd grab a step stool first so you can look down at it and go around and give each bolt a quarter or half turn; go all the way around and do that two or three times until you're sure they are all nice and snug.

Did you put silicone in those holes, too?

I wonder if you might have run into what I did, and the holes that are cutout above the actual screw threads were out of line, so I had to take a Dremel and ream them out before my bolts would thread and tighten up.

Yeah, double check the tightness. I have the very original rack and there isn't any play in it.
