Ford has excellent customer service speaking from past experiences. That's how business works, from past experiences. Once you fuck up, there goes a customer. I'm that customer.

e: Also, to the people saying "go to a different dealer", Why should the customer that just paid $30k for a truck have to drive hours to a different dealer? $30k should get you the best customer service anywhere you go.

It does suck that your original dealership didn't do the service.

Take a copy of the TSB with you to the next dealer along with some weight in the back to show it sagging and see how it goes.

I got my truck used and went straight to the service department when I signed the papers. Showed them a copy of the TSB and the service manager working didn't even question it, just ordered the parts.

NOW when I went back I got a different service manager who was kind of a douche nozzle but it didn't affect the outcome of the TSB.

Hope you get this resolved, it would be a shame to get rid of such a good looking truck.

Why is it not considered a "harsh ride" when, with such little wieght in the back, you ride with the ass end down and bouncing as you are driving? If the tsb is designed to give you better load capacity, then that would keep the rear end from bouncing and giving the bad ride. I have had pickup trucks for almost 25 years. I have hauled many different loads along with hauling many different trailers. If toyota screwed up on the design of the tacoma, then they should fix it to make it able to be used as a truck. If I haul a jet ski, boat or a trailer with my harley on it, I want a safe ride. With the rear bouncing uncontrolably, that might just harm what I am hauling and I have more money in my harley than my truck.

See, this is just the total opposite that the tech tried to tell me. He said that the new springs would make it bottom out even more and that they were softer and would make it even worse. I told him that he had to be wrong that why would they make it so a truck would drag on the ground under any kind of load. That is why I said that the tech was clueless in what he was saying.

I would waste no time telling the service and dealer managers what a tool that tech is and that he suggested that you go to a different brand.

I agree with this completely. The dealership is only 10 minutes from me.

Because obviously the tech is a freakin idiot. If you want stupid people workin on your truck, go for it. I prefer people that know what they're talkin about.

You shouldn't base your decision on selling a truck with nothing wrong with it, on customer service or idiot Techs at the Stealership. I brought my truck to get the first free oil change and the Tech wanted a "tire inspection" included, it was gonna cost extra $50. I looked at the guy and laughed, i told him that i will never bring my truck back to the Dealership because him and his co workers are ripping people off by these bogus extras. I brought my truck to the Dealership in another town, and had no problems with getting the TSB leafs done, the ticking blower motor and the melting plastic from the DTRL. Bring your Tacoma to a Different dealership, every state has them, you just went to the wrong one.

Good. Unusual that you got no favorable response from either organization.

You see, that's the problem: You're arguing with the tech, don't argue. Tell him thanks for his opinion but your mind is settled: you are the customer, you qualify for the TSB under warranty, so just do it. You know the truck will ride stiffer, like a truck should, and want that load carrying capacity for your bikes. Case closed...now when will it be done?

But remember that a Tacoma is' nt a full sized truck. It's clear from dozens of posts all over TW: this is a light weight mid-size even with the TSB. If you wanted full size capacity then you shoulda got that Chevy. I think you're just suffering buyer's remorse and trying to blame the dealer.
