the modding bug has bitten. just dropped some coin on some SW-Motech crash bars and a rear axle slider for the XSR.

 

Got the 5k service done. Followed the service manual and boom. Unfortunately no ride time cause the weather went from hell hot to some sporadic storms. Gotta love Texas.

Also installed the Rokform. I know there’s a love hate relationship with the rokform mount around here….

 

With some incredibly generous help from @Artruck I got the little project Ninja up and running.

It’s come a long way since I hauled it out of that dusty garage, and I’m glad to say that it’s running and riding like a new machine.

Went on a short ride. 3223 miles now. Found a dirt road leading to this sunset.

Also update on NASA tape: it's starting to peel off at the bottom. Will add more and/or replace with something new.

I’m working on a 6x12 cargo trailer. Hope to use it for multiple things, including occasionally toting 1-2 Harleys. What kind of removable chock or strapping system do you recommend?

 

Lol I felt your pain a little the other day. Was riding with @Wheelspinner and not long after I laughed at him burying his rear tire in mud I was trying to skirt the edge of a big puddle and the front tire stayed up and out but the back tire slide sideways into it. Lost my balance and fell into 1.5 ft of murky water.

Was a fun trip tho.

Ran up to Ohio to visit my folks and my Pop's gifted me his 2003, 100th anniversary Softale custom. 30k on it. I'll swap the bars out and use it as a dd. I'm in my jeep so I'll have to get a trailer and get it during labor day.
