I’m running the wires for a new LED light bar and when I popped the lower dash (under the steering wheel) I saw a connector with a yellow and beige connector free floating. I have no idea if it was connected to anything and if so, what.

    Any ideas?

It’s dead center in the picture.

Typically it's a good idea to send out a shout to @caribe makaira for these kind of questions.

Most likely a connector for an option that your truck doesn't have. Pretty common for all trim levels to come equipped with the same or similar wiring harnesses

Details on your light bar setup and wiring harness? Just to round things out and for my own curiosity.

But does he have matching 2 position 090IIU connectors like I do?:)

@caribe makaira, is there anything at all useful we could do with this on an AT? I assume not.

    Nada...
You could fool the system to start while in-gear, but that's what the Park/Neutral Switch prevents.

I have a 20” Rough Country light bar mounted in a Body Armor Hiline bumper. The wiring harness came with the light bar, but I used an “OEM” switch from Cali Raised LED.

And it has a backlight? Or no backlight?

This is the one I did for @ljh824 so he could use his zombie switch. Just curious how you did yours and if there are some good ideas I might consider for next time as I’m doing something for @Zumozuzu7 right now.

technically I can buy a clutch start stop switch and connect it to that connector and act like I have a manual transmission.

looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend

@caribe makaira - Thank you so much for answering @Mikro's question. I saw a lot of views and no answers to his question.

I am always amazed (but never surprised) at how quickly and accurate your responses are to our questions.

It has a backlight while the switch is on. I could have had a dim backlight while switch is off and headlights are on, but that would have required me to tap into another wire, and that is WAAYYY above my capabilities. I was struggling with the butt connectors and crimping, etc. the wires from the switch to the light bar harness.

What you have there is impressive and looks like I could have used something like that and it would have made my day MUCH easier.

Gotchya. Was the original switch a two way oval rocker?

If you need switch illumination, @kmorgan3 has that covered.
