    And it doesn’t totally block the backup camera like I thought it would!

    I didn’t think about it until I had the damn thing mounted and realized the pole was almost directly in front of the backup camera!

    :facepalm:

    When l have my tailgate down the backup camera flips out, the parking sonar senses the ground or something and it sets off the audible warnings.

    I fell asleep with the TV on last night and woke up to a strange screen that said the main receiver in the living room was resetting. Decided to go check and smelled a hint of electrical smoke, the receiver had shit itself plus l lost everything from the DVR too.

    Went to a local cruise night with Porter this evening and by pure chance ran into my best friend Mike, his younger sister, and another friend of mine (Colleen, seen in the middle; Mike's sister took the pictures)...

    I could probably install it myself, but it seems like more of a 2-person job, and Butch has a lift...

    Direct TV, the service lady on the phone said that was the first time she ever dealt with that particular fault code so it was something oddball but mailing me out a new receiver.

    Yep satellite is pretty much the only choice for TV. As far as internet the only choices are satellite or something that works sort of like a cellphone, there is an antenna outside that is pointed at a large tower.

    @Speedytech7

    My first new computer in just over 6 years; Got a deal on it as a result of my employer’s corporate discount. It is a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 with a 512gb solid state hard drive and 8 gigs of Ram. My only complaint thus far is that the moron who delivered it left it on my front step in the rain!

    :annoyed:

    Luckily, I got it before the water soaked through the box…

    On another note, my MacBook Pro is more than 6 years old and still going strong! This laptop cost about $2,000, and in terms of longevity and not getting ANY viruses it has been the best computer I’ve ever owned!

    2015 was a good year for me; I started working at Puck in November 2014. My Grandma passed away in January 2015 and left me and my cousins each a decent amount of money. I also started making weekly Costco runs for my friend who owned Coach’s (a steak and hoagie shop) in exchange for $30 a week and one free meal. In July, I started delivering pizzas! So yeah, I was making good money; I just wished that back then I was as good at saving it as I was at making it…

    :spending: :(

    So, I paid for the Mac with $1,000 of my own money from the inheritance, and my parents paid for the other half as a college graduation present.
