@rmepilot You'd love it. I'm at ground zero on the departure for all the firefighting aircraft for northern NV and nor cal if the fires are closer to my airport. They skirt the class C airspace and go right over me then head West over the mountains before they run South to firefight. There's a big fat sikorsky that lumbers overhead carrying a bucket of water a few times a day as well. We have a guard base that uses the airport as well. Blackhawks and Chinooks all over the place. Occasionally an Osprey

The police helo flys out of KRTS as well. I yell "BOOOO" at it whenever it goes overhead.

For those who are just tuning in, KRTS is also where the "world class reno air races" are held. It's about 2 miles from my house.

I suppose I'm confused. I was referring to the Truckee river. You're not going to be riding a bike down it at any point, whether the river is low, normal or high.

Where do you know that you can ride by the river? Furthermore, I aint doing it right now when it's 105 out. I barely made it a mile back to my truck this afternoon.

If there's places to ride alongside the Truckee I'd love to know where they are. I've been up and down that river from Tahoe to Pyramid many times.

The rain should make the dirt perfect in the next day or two, and looks like it's 'only' 90

I choose death over biking at altitude in 90+ degrees. When I MTB I enjoy the climbs. I don't like to climb when my body can barely produce enough sweat to cool itself

I got in a fight with some people on reddit and gave $500 to planned parenthood to spite them.

Statistical analysis shows crime reduction boastings by many elected leaders in the late 1980's early 1990's were partially influenced by robust policing...but there was a significant "Other" societal impact nobody likes to bring up because it's a real bastard child of politics and society... (pun intended)

I never went to bed. I don't know how or why I'm still up, but the night came and went and I'm still up.

Well the study he posted was from Chicago, saying that abortions decrease crime. Chicago still has rampant crime. So.... That's what Chicago has to do with anything

Oh, I thought it was just a study done by the university of Chicago, not specific to Chicago. Didn’t read through it much.

Also, I spent a decade in Chicago mostly working in the biggest hospital in the Midwest... So I'm in tune with Chicago and it's crime
