    Good Morning

Well, the boys fished with parents Saturday noon tide. Stayed out 4 hours and brought back 7 halibut (3 short of limit). With packing everything up and the 6hr drive back to Palmer, we got home around 11:30PM. Met back up noon Sunday and spent 6 hrs cleaning everything (do our best to get the salt water residue off all the vehicles and equipment) and packaging fish. Final pkg count (2-3 lb pkgs) was 115. Got back home and made beer battered halibut for Kristi and grandkids. I'm awake my normal time this morning, but feel like this picture of our friend's son (youngest kid on the trip) one night by the campfire:
    158F081B-6846-4E06-B977-40ABB9CE0A14.jpg
Not sure what the plans for today are, but I'll likely sneak in a nap somewhere. ;)

Hope all enjoyed their 4th of July. :oldglory:

    Good Morning Rob :hattip:

Glad you all had a great trip. Plenty of halibut for all. Beer Battered with a smidgen of Heinz Malt vinegar....
Seeing that young man dozing in his chair is a reminder of what I do now...I can sleep almost anywhere and anytime.
Have a great day Rob and enjoy the Grand kids. And most importantly be safe.

Doing good with the knee Rob Thanks. Walking with a cane for now(go to my first PT for eval tomorrow) so I will use the walker for that and let them tell me if I can use the cane. Around the house I haven't been using any walking aid. Kermit hasn't been bored sir. I have had him out for several runs and it is better for me getting in and out than Deb's car. All is good so far. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and be safe

Awesome to read the "All is good so far." Sounds like you're right on schedule for how knee replacements go.

Stitch is glad to read Kermit is getting in his runs, he was concerned. ;)
Keep up the positive mindset for your recovery...I think that is what makes the difference. Suck it up and do the work...you'll be back to enjoying your active lifestyle in no time.

You can't keep a good man down. :woot:

... your cane reference reminded me of my two weeks on crutches after knee surgery 20 yrs ago. At the end of the 2 weeks, went into Doc and he cleared me to go weight bearing and they gave me a cane, but said "you'll probably want to stay with the crutches a few more days and slowly transition to the cane." I asked, "but I'm cleared full weight bearing right?" He said "yes," and I left those damn crutches in the exam room...they were so awkward and a general PITA. ;)

Stay tough my Cool Old Dude Mentor.

    Much Respect Always :oldglory: GBA
