I have photos from the late 80s when my parents would take me to Chuck E Cheese, they are downright terrifying to look at nowadays. But I guess I was tougher as a 4 year old than I am now lol

 

It is kinda crazy to think that families dont do that sorta thing anymore. I always liked going to Chuck-e-cheese and Celebration station as a kid.

You know that business model has failed once they started offering booze to the adults as an incentive to come.

 

We have a Chuck E Cheese here in town. They were still operating up until the pandemic, now closed for good. I don't imagine they were all that busy before though

 

I dont know if our Chuck E Cheese is still open. The celebration station still does good from their go carts and mini golf.

 

To your point with the alcohol though, I remember after high school in ~2003/04 we'd always go to Chuck E Cheese in the evenings because it was a sure way to get beer as an underage kid. Someone always had a friend that worked there and would give it to you.

Get drunk and play the arcade and scare off all the parents and their kids, definitely wasn't a good idea for the business lol.

We'd also climb onto the roof and drink inside the giant Chuck E Cheese mouse head on top of the building.

 

Feels so weird having the weekend off.

Yeah that's what they do, that and leave thousands of pounds of trash over the holiday weekend.

 

Does anybody know how to convert a metric size that is 35.5mm to SAE?

I have some Johnny joints that must be SAE. My 36mm open end is too big and the 35mm is too small. It's kind of weird to work on something that uses SAE sizes.

 

Exactly what they do here. All the residents basically hibernate.

 

Same here. We act like it's the purge, we shelter in place for 3 days.
