What Cold pressure is everyone running their LT265/70/17 E loads. I set them to 32 cold but when it moves at super slow speeds you can see the tire bowing out at the bottom. I understand that once you get driving you'll gain about 2-4 psi so I feel like 36 cold could be too high. Might end up doing a chalk test if there's no common answer. TIA!

Lots of answers, most agree 30psi is the sweet spot for LT

    I run 28psi cold and 30psi warm.

You'll never get full shoulder wear unless you tow in the rear.

Driving down a gravel road often is all you need to see the shoulder.

LT tires require more pressure than SL tires for a given load. Here's a calculator to find the appropriate pressure based on your vehicle's stock size and pressure.
I disagree. It might be fine if you're running around unloaded, but this would certainly be under-inflated based on GAWR.

Under inflated for load 100% but for street driving it will wear better and drive smoother.

42psi on even 1/2 tons burns off the center tread of LT tires.

I find 35 is a good compromise between ride, wear, and mileage.

True. I do agree that the recommenced pressure for stock size LT's feels excessive. As long as people remember to air up when towing/hauling, it's probably fine to run lower pressure for regular driving.

I have a 4Runner, and when I switched to LT's it recommended 44. I wound up running 36 or 38 and had good wear. Now I'm on 295/70/17's and the recommenced pressure (35) feels good.

I did the chalk test and landed 31ish. Cannot remember exact cold. 32 psi hot is perfect contact. Any higher was not full contact. Above 36psi the truck would shake big time on highway

I have generally used the tire pressure on the label in the truck on my vehicles, 32 psi for my Tacoma. Took my Tacoma in for service including tire rotation and on the way home had the bumpiest ride ever., it tracked straight but seemed to want to wander. Checked the air pressure when I got home and they had put 36-37 psi in the tires! Set them at 32 and my ride and handling was back to normal lol.
