I ended up ordering an ACOG for my 20" AR. Now I have too many optics.

Of course, the only reasonable solution now is to run over to Diamondback and see if 1) they are set up for retail as well as manufacturing, and 2) fiddle with and contemplate one of their DB10 rifles...

I hate their handguards, but they otherwise seem reasonable for a budget rifle

I know when they first got up and running they were pretty spotty, but truth be told they were building airboats next door to KelTec. I've seen some positive reviews from some folks that are pretty squared away, which is one of the reasons I'm considering them at all. The other being I live about a mile from their new facility, so any QC issues can be handled in person.

Kinda a gun, but got one of these for my mom. Handy little device. Think it should serve her needs well.

A couple of rear window decals...
I bought these for my ex years ago, as she did not want to carry a gun. But after going through pepper spray training, I relegated them to backup duty in favor of getting her a good aerosol-cloud spray.

my wife is a nursing instructor with one of these taped in under her desk in her office and one in her jacket. I replace them once a year and make her expend the old ones on the range, just so she feels comfortable deploying them under a little stress...... :)

My Wife has the red one in her purse. I also replace it every summer. And She shoots the old one at a paper plate. It’s more of a stream. Versus some of the other ones that fog. I also like “POM” pepper spray. Have one in my truck

I upgraded the one in my truck to a full can of bear spray......I had a dude lock up his pickup in front of me one day, get out of the truck and try to punch me through my driver side window (He hit the B pillar instead of my head). Since I was going to a Navy Base every day, I could not carry a weapon, so I put a can of bear spray in my truck, just in case it ever happened again.

Even after I retired, it is one more "less than lethal" option that I carry in my vehicles ...... in the event the natives get agitated.

What’s funny is Core15 rifles were started the same way with GTO Performance airboats being the primary company and have come a long way in the AR business…..

I think it was a division of a engine and airplane company started by a then company president… I would have to look it up to be exact but we’re close

What’s funny is most people don’t associate firearms manufacturers with central Florida. Just in Cocoa we have Diamondback, KelTec, and EAA. Titusville has Knights Armament, Apopka has Spikes Tactical, and Daytona has SCCY. There used to be a suppressor manufacturer in Daytona in the 90s. I’m sure I’m missing a few.
They do tend to go hand in hand with aerospace and other industries.

Having grown up in Cape Canaveral myself the list of firearm Manufactures in Florida is HUGE and continues to grow more and more..... One of my favs is ARES Defense in Melbourne. They're more Law enforcement/Gov't contract manufacture but for a few yrs they did AR lowers that are top notch....
