All new fluids:
-Transmission drain&fill
-Front diff
-Transfer case
-Rear diff
-Engine oil&filter.

Helluva couple weeks. Doable thanks to all the TW how-to’s!

 

That a U-Joint for your driveshaft.

 

That is a bad u joint. One of 3 on the rear driveshaft. It allows the driveshaft to pivot while turning. That one was at the rear axle.

 

Lo pro and trd skid installed. Its getting there. Happy 4th!

Finished up my front bumper and skid today.
Used the @WarFab Armor front chop kit to build my own bumper off of. Gained around 4 inches clearance by chopping off the lower crossmember. I did a flat plate under the radiator to show off the hydro ram and gain a bit of extra clearance. Its not perfect but i learned alot and itll work.

 

Painted my Chrome grill green. Such a big improvement IMO

 

Not something I truly did, but something I will do. Just ordered RCI Full Skids and sliders. And now the waiting game begins……..

 

What rack is that? I've never seen a TRD badged fairing.

Yea, I got a can of paint-matched spruce mica mixed up and finished it off with 2k clear. Sanding everything, adhesion promoter, several coats of base and 5 coats of clear.

The match is perfect, but highway rock chips will be the real test for clear coat durability haha.

 

Sweet! What kind of 2K clear did you go with?
I didn't properly clear coat mine when I did it 4 years ago and it is badly chipped. I have some leftover colour matched vinyl wrap but not sure if it's worth the struggle lol

Sound deadened and closed cell foamed both front doors.
Installed new Kicker 6x9 components.

About 4 hours start to finish including tuning with the alpine head unit.

it was pretty hot in the sun, so I called it quits for the day.

Still on the list this week:
Deaden and foam rear doors.
Cerwin Vega powered sub.
extang 2.0 I got for $100 yesterday.
