    i’m looking at getting a rooftop tent with an overland/bed rack. any recommendations for a good “budget” rack and tent combo?

    I have no experience with these products, but Amazon is going to be more budget-friendly than fabrication shops.

    I went with UpTop Overland's Truss system, but it's not really budget friendly coming in at $850. I spent another $1050 for the rack on top of it, as well.



    EDIT: Voodoo seems to be about roughly the same price as the most expensive Amazon options. Personally, I think it's worth the extra money for a brand I can trust.

    FYI, that tent is getting no support underneath with the ladder kicked out at that extreme angle. You need to bring it in way further.

    OP, I’ve got a KB Voodoo bed rack. They are reasonably priced.

    the Amazon rack suggested about 4 others that look exactly the same, probably a Chinese factory sort of thing, definitely gonna go with more fabricated option
