Any shops doing OvTune flashes in Norcal?

I know exactly what you're talking about. Slight inclines and the KDMax wants to cruise before you need to give it a bit more throttle angle and get it to be responsive. Met up with @chanvchau yesterday early evening to get my 2018 MT tuned, all I can say is WOW! The difference the tune made to 1st and 2nd gear is outstanding! No more plodding around when starting from a full stop. Best $250 I've spent on this truck!

Just another shout out for Chan's CVC Tune. He tuned my truck in Sac last weekend (6/12) and all I can say is wow! It's like a different truck!

I've noticed that 98% of the shifting issues are gone, I have power like never before and my gas milage increased by about 2 mpg. I just completed a road trip from Sac to Medford and my overall average was 19.9 mpg for the entire trip --best I've gotten on a road trip. I'm running 265/75/R16s. There were a couple of times where I needed to stomp on the pedal to get around some trucks, idiot drivers or whatever and the power to get up and get moving is there! I just got up and briskly walked away from traffic at 70 mph like nobody's buisness. But beware, with this tune if you put your foot in it, that 3.5 is going to drink the gas like a V8.

Best money I've spent on my truck by far! Chan and his girlfriend/fiancee (?) are truly two jewels --great people, great service, great tune. Highly recommend them.

After just completing a ~3000 mile roadtrip, I'm convinced that it's time to get a OVTune. I have a 2019, and I swear its one of the most sluggish accelerating vehicles I've ever owned. 18 wheelers were making me look bad on a regular basis. Dare I even try to go 80MPH on some stretches in Utah/Idaho.

Does anyone know if there is a risk of the dealer screwing up the tune after its been done during regular maintenance?

Met up with @chanvchau today in Redding to get his CVC tune. Took the long way home after but still only drove it a couple miles, but initial impression is WOW. Feels like a completely different truck. I’ll be able to give a more in depth review once I get some more miles on the truck and get it into the mountains. If you’re on the fence about getting tuned, do it! Don’t wait as long as I did. Cheers folks!

 

Just seeing this thread I’m in sac is this still an option? Took my 2021 trd on a road trip and the shifting points are terrible..
