Actually you'll add the DRL's back AND be able to use all the features of the led flasher and still have towing circuit too.

Thanks for the motivation to disable DTRL's! I finally pulled it apart and removed the pin. I taped it up and left it hanging just in case. To remove the pin you have to pop out the plastic anchor on the non clip side of 1M (i used a paper clip) then i used a pick in 1M on red and green pin to detach it from 1M. Sorry for no pics but i don't bend well and that hurt my fat body.

You could add a ON/OFF switch too...

My "replacement" headlights were the old model and they melted (plus a moron tech broke a tab and and i didnt notice till now). The ones i have in now are some Depos i got on Amazon with plastic lens. I dont want to melt these.

Change bulbs to LEDs with resistors, no heat.

Dude big thanks to you for the DTRL disable by removing the harness and replacing with smart tap flasher and junction block! I just did it on mine and it works great!
The only issue I had was when I installed the diode dynamic XP80 turn signals. I kept blowing fuses and after some troubleshooting I just cut the DTRL wire (green) at the turn signal socket and it solved it.
