Part of me agrees with that. Just because there are a lot of Canadians who aren't even Habs fans that would somehow claim victory when the Cup returns to Canada. That would be annoying.

But I don't really care about Canada vs USA when it comes to who wins the Cup. Some of my favorite teams are Canadian (Leafs, Jets, Flames and Canucks I love.) Plus, I would've liked Price to get a Cup, even though he's been average in the Final.

The last one I recall that was so lopsided was the pens 1992 sweep over the 'hawks. The playoff format this year seemed to create this. Some divisions were so balanced that teams were in a grind the entire season and that seems to be showing now as that tough schedule is paying of come playoff time.

 

Yes, the playoff format did contribute a bit. That being said, I don't want to say that the Habs don't deserve to be there. They won those games and beat those teams. So I give them full credit. But they just aren't a Finals team. And they were going to have to stay red hot and execute to perfection to stay on this run. It seems that has came back down to reality, which is no fault of their own. It's who they are. But Tampa is too stacked and too versatile. There's not a specific way to shut down their gameplan because they can play it a few different ways. The crazy part, is Vegas was like that too but they just unraveled and Montreal was able to break them mentally, I think. Price cooled down and Montreal isn't getting those key goals now. That isn't gonna get it done.

Also that man is insane. Who trolls this hard? As in supposedly he's in the Air Force and has a wife and kids. Who has time to waste the effort to keep making profiles to harass people and what does he think his employer or family would think if one of us filled a criminal harassment charge or civil stop communication suit. It's incredibly sad he's like that but I'm glad the mods figured out a way to stop it.

 

Let's be clear, Price was unreal in the first three series. If Allen was in net, we are seeing the Leafs or Knight's against the Bolt. A realistic Price giving okay goaltending is what we've seen in the finals and that's not enough against the Bolts, it's that simple.

At least there wasn't a sweep. TB looked so much better for the first half of the game. Montreal had small spurts in the 2nd pd and 3rd pd though. I thought for sure TB was going to end it with that 4min PP. Great PK and I think that really lead to the winner. Montreal works hard, I give them credit. I don't see them winning 3 more but if they win tomorrow, you at least gotta start to wonder.

 

Even a bum gets a bologna sandwich every once and a while. They certainly aren't getting the reverse sweep on Tampa.

 

No I don't see that happening either. Tampa is too good and too deep of a team. If somehow Montreal pulls it off, that would be epic. I wouldn't mind seeing it, just for the theater of it. But logic tells me there is no way lol.

 

Wonder what the betting odds are

 

Not sure. I don't really follow or understand gambling odds, but probably a big pay day for someone who takes that bet, if it happens lol.

 

The Habs playing like they're over it. Their energy was used up to force this home celebration thats upcoming for the lightning.
