Well, I am new to the site and have been doing alot of research on the forums about what lift to get. It started with just a small lift, and like all mods has gotten bigger. I am now sold on the RCD 4.5in lift, because of reviews that other people have on this site, compared to other lifts as well as other forums. I read that that the lift doesnt work with 09 tacomas that have vsc. Is that true? Is there a way around it? Thanks for the help.

what exactly do you have to cut and how much does it weaken your frame?

you have to cut the crossmember. i dont think it weakens it much because there are some guy on here that really wheel like krookz and tacoridinghigh and they had to cut theirs to fit the 6 inch lifts.

Nothing is weakened. It is reinforced with another steel bracket.
