Good morning. Spent a nice day yesterday with my family. It would have been my father's 81st birthday. He died over 16 years ago. My mother had a Mass in his honor at the church in Monroeville. At least one from every family member showed up and then we went to breakfast. My daughter and grandson came with me, no small accomplishment as we had to leave by 8:30. My grandson even went to bed early so he could get up. I appreciated that. Today, it's rough here weather wise. There is an air quality alert. The dew point is already 71 degrees. I took my morning walk but it was rather uncomfortable. At least I got some exercise. Now, to relax inside for most of the day.

Pulled over to take a call and happened to spot these two FJ’s stored way in the back of an independent auto shop…

Doing good John. Thanks. Went for an evaluation for PT this morning and I get to start the torture part tomorrow. I keep telling myself "one more step, one more step" we'll see how it works out tomorrow. When is moving day John? All packed up yet? I'd give you a hand but I would be in the way more than anything.
    Take care and be safe

    Afternoon PA!

Well all the talk about batteries yesterday made me decide to go ahead and replace the 6 year old battery in the Camry. Went to the place that @MoneyMan55 mentioned a while ago that's near him. Got an East Penn (they re-stickered it their logo) 725 CCA for only $130, cash price obviously. Definitely the place I'm gonna be getting my batteries from now on!

Got er' all installed and the terminals gooped up!

Started it up and it was obvious the old battery wasn't too long for this world. Starter about shoots the motor out now

Also went ahead and ordered a set of front rotors and pads. The current ones are a little over 1/2 left at 31K miles, but with going up and over the mountain they're warped. Any bit of heat and it's shaking the wheel. Went the same route I did with the Talon; Raybestos Street Performance coated rotors and Element3 Hybrid pads. I really like them on the Talon, so we'll see how they do on the Camry. Not too bad of a price, $126 shipped to my door from Rock Auto...

Lynn and I baked ourselves in the sun today and got her greenhouse pretty much done on the outside. We need to stain the front rafter tails and silicone caulk the outside of the windows (except for the large upper one - I did that before I started painting). Inside, I need to fill the cracks in the concrete pad and put up the shelves she wants - and hang an exhaust fan.

Tomorrow, I hope to get the mower garage painted.

    Working on it
Today was significantly worse than it had any right to be.

Gut auger spun in half, hide belt broke, 1000 other things and I had 2 mechanics vs the 6 I should have.

That happens to us every time we're short handed. Just have to prioritize what's more important...

@Delta09 Good for you Adam! Couple years back we needed a 6 volt battery for our old Ford tractor over the hill. They had it in stock. Good people, they did not charge me the deposit until I brought old one back, guess I look honest or the fact they know where I love! Lol Good for you.

I called a place in Hagerstown first, but they didn't have a Deka so I remembered the place out by you. Called and the lady was extremely nice and helpful. Showed up and she remembered I called. She asked what it was for and I said a Camry. Said she figured that's what I was for since it was a 24F. Quickly tested the new battery and I was on my way. Decided to take the long way home and followed 995 to Upton where I got on 16 home. Overall good day! Next weekend is gonna be busy when I get the brake parts for the Camry. Might as well do a brake fluid flush and clean the rear pads/hardware while I'm at it.

That's cool. And back roads are where it's at in this area if you can. Grilled after work today and the people coming up Boyer Mill were... Just let's say not showing their best driving skills.

Yea part of me is sad I didn't find a house this year, and the other part of me is glad I didn't. I need a 26' Penskee truck just for my garage...

If lumber prices subside I might buy an acre or two of land and just build something new. Much as I know how to work on houses, I'm lazy and just want to relax on my days off. Who knows what next year will bring...
