If you're a costco member they will also do mount and balance for 19.99 each and I believe that comes with lifetime balance/rotations.

 

We’ve had nothing but trouble with their tire shop. I’ve landed on Discount Tire, they’ve got the tires I want. A little more than another place, but hopefully they’ll price match.

 

Hey, hoping for another recommendation. Anyone have a good shop recommendation to do the needle/ecgs swap? I'm going to do the lift (just 5100's and a 1" block) myself, but seems like this one might be left to someone who's done it before and has the tools already.

Anyone have any feedback for Ekahi Automotive in Wailuku? Looks like they can do road force balancing, wonder if they could knock out my tires and this at the same time. Tried calling them twice today but they didn't pick up.

For what it's worth, went into Discount Tire and Wheel today looking for Wildpeaks and the guy didn't seem too knowledgeable, and was a good $300+ over Commercial Tire at the baseyard (and wouldn't price match them). So I ordered the tires from Commercial Tire, the guy was competent and it sounds like they'll be here sooner anyway.

Are you getting a vibration , or just preventative measures? I had 5100’s set at 2 inches on my 2016 for five years and never had a problem.

 

I can do it, I’d recommend paying for the front suspension install in conjunction with the bushing cause your gonna pay for the removal of the LH strut anyways. PM for price.

 

Just preventative, I guess. I may just do a wait and see with it, I'm just used to BMW's where it's best to attack things BEFORE they go bad lol

 

I did mine as preventative since the suspension was out, but since your not doing both at the same time I'd just wait and see.

IMM handled my tire mounting and alignment with no problem, I would assume they can handle those UCA's. They do a shit load of lifts.

Aloha all, anyone have a stock y-pipe with both rear catalytic converters from 05-11 4wd double cab with 4.0l v6? Would like to buy or if interested I'm parting out my truck and have a URD y-pipe I'm removing. Can work out a trade but the URD y-pipe has an extra bung welded in for A/F guage and v-band flanges welded on so it's not a direct bolt in and only works on 4x4's. I'm actually removing my Doug Thorley long tubes with extended A/F sensor harnesses, Urd y-pipe, vibrant resonator and dual out mbrp exhaust. Everything is welded and secured with v-band flanges, best if exhaust is installed together. As soon as I can find a stock y-pipe w/ cats I will remove my current setup. Please PM me if interested.

I live on the Big Island now, but I lived in Makawao from 1992 - 1998. We used to go camping on the back side, past Hana on the road to Kula. I had a 1987 Toyota truck (before Toyota called them Tacoma). Can you still camp back there? Picture is from 1993.
