I have one pair of connectors but no 2nd Gen to test on. Yours has a camera? OEM or aftermarket? I think we might be best doing follow up on the design thread. I’ll tag you.

Received mine today... a day later than expected due to postal delay, even though the RAIN managed to arrive right on on time.
As others have indicated, it looks very nice and well constructed. But it will be a while until I can do the install.. I managed to trip and fall on a hardwood floor on Sunday. And of course I fell onto the same knee that I fractured in January, and in falling I also sprained my foot on the same leg.:annoyed:
So after having just recovered enough in recent days to walk without a walker or cane, now I'm back in recovery mode. :frusty:

Ouch, @DES2009 hope for swift healing. I do my share of grunting and groaning when I slither down under the truck these days myself.

Also, my 5 year old smacked my surgically repaired knee on Sunday with a bicycle pedal so I literally feel your pain :)

    Can vouch for Dave.
He is so helpful and goes out of his way to help with what he can!
If you purchase any harnesses from this guy, I know he will stand by his product and help in any way he can!!

As of today, I have 6 of these ready to ship immediately. I will be out of town for two weeks in early July, so orders after 7/1 will have a bit of a delay.

I was running a bit low on stock so I whipped up a batch of 9 over the past two nights. I still can't really decide what the ideal batch size actually is, while ~10 feels nice and manageable, the assembly line effect of 25+ probably shaves a bit of overall time.

Is this referring to only when you have the license plate lights unplugged to test or does this also happen with the module installed? And does this only affect the BSM or does it also affect the RCTA?

What I was trying to do with that statement was to ensure nobody drives with this connector unplugged and expects BSM to work properly, it won't. And since that is a safety concern, I wanted to call it out. With or without the DIR T harness, as long as the junction connector is connected, BSM works as expected.

I'm not sure if the cross traffic is part of the same harness or a different harness, I suspect it would be a different connector if it's an independent system?

Cross traffic is a "feature" of the BSMS.

2nd Joe's experience above, quick shipping, well done instructions, and a well put together product. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN THE REVERSE VIEW!! It's not a 'cheap' mod, it is high quality and effective! If you are leaning towards a purchase then grab one now!

I have toyed with the idea of offering a "generic connector" option for $10 less. I personally would always go with the OEM connector option myself but I do have good stock on the generic connectors now so I could do something like that if people were interested.

The real cost on these things is the labor. Outside of a mad sprint, it's about 30 minutes/each on average, well over 50 discrete steps (I think more like 100) if you count each cut, strip, seal, crimp, insert, heat shrink, tubing, locking, etc.

With that said, I enjoy the work, it's a just-right degree of difficulty.

The PNP aspect is worth the investment. This is the kind of mod I could do but the time/money is something I was happy to pay for - thanks again!
