    True but a F1 V8 is a special kinda 18,000 rpm noise...

Nice. same 18k. long story short - My buddies and I rented an RV in Chicago and went to the inaugural USGP at Indy in 2000. Every morning we were woken up by the sound of F1 cars screaming down the straight. They should make an alarm clock with that noise.

The v8’s were limited to 18k at some point.

I’m sure there is a screaming V8 alarm somewhere, I’m not sure the Mrs will approve.

Hopefully the hybrid era doesn't infiltrate top fuel drag racing. NOTHING compares to the literal feeling those engines make coming off the line.

I don't mind the hybrid track cars though and don't mind the sounds they make. I mean they are what, 1.6L v6's making 700hp on their own? Thats nuts.

Also, glad to see Bottas on podium. Norris is becoming my new favorite driver though, lol.

Especially on that first lap when you have 20 F1 V8s packed together ripping by at 18,000 RPMs... and then slowing down into the turn with blown diffusers

Yeah sadly I’ve never experienced a race pack full of v8 F1’s first hand, I have heard the occasional one at a special event.

He is the better talent. I hope he gets his shot early. He and Hamilton can battle each other while Max wins.

That and the 'rain' of rubber particles from the tires... if you're close enough to the starting line.

For the first few years I really did not like Max, but he has come about. Last year he knew he had a slower car and didn't moan about it, he was simply realistic about it. Now he is driving without fault and quickly, he has a great car underneath him! Him and Checo are gonna do some damage to Mercedes this year.

I'm in two minds about Russell going to Merc, I am for it, but... the romantic side of me wants him to stay with Williams in the hope that they provide an awesome car next year and he then stays with them his whole career o_O. Next year Williams get the Mercedes gearbox to go with the engine, so if they can design a great car they could do well. Dorilton have thrown a lot of money at Williams and it's starting to show.

Next year no one is gonna know who has the quickest car until they get to testing, should be fun!
