Some guy I know of sold his three-year-old F-250 diesel (less than 30,000 miles) for the same price that he paid for it new. The local Hyundai dealership stopped running new car advertisements and now has an ad about buying used cars for cash and locating any kind of car that you want. Crazy. I fear for when the bubble bursts.

Why would there be a financial Armageddon if the car price market corrects? Oh no's the guys flipping cars on craigs list will lose their ass, how will we ever recover?!?!?

Unless there is some financial scheme tied into people's retirement accounts like mortgage backed securities and credit default swaps, there will be minimal pain besides some kyles of the world getting hosed on the sale of thier bro dozer.

Here's my DIY country shade tree pinion angle checking system. @04Pre_Runner

    1) Angle Locator
    2) Straight Edge Tool (doubles as a 17mm & 19mm box end)
    3) Clamp to hold straight edge tool to the pinion and transfer case flanges.

I bought a digital one initially. Some cheap China crap that kept giving errors. So I resorted to the old manual version. I'll look around for something better. It smoothed it out a little bit. Adjustable uppers made it easy to control from under the vehicle.

So your wheel was already centered, or close (since you have a lift) with the lowers then?

Which is what, $14.50 for the rest of the country?

You may have a higher hourly rate in Cali but everything else costs double what it costs me. Gas here has yet to cross $3/gal for 87.

I really want to get a quote on my 158k mile frontier with hail damage and a manual transmission. Its gonna be weird number one way or the other.

One of our local dealerships is advertising that they have cars, which is kind of weird.

The difference isn't as huge as you claim it to be.

Plenty of cities, larger ones even like Fresno where, you can make $65k a year and still buy a new house.

    That's just the central valley.

What a lot of people tend to do is just rely on the few larger cities like those in the Bay Area, or Coastline, and judge the rest of CA's cost of living solely on those $800k homes listed.

It's expensive where I'm at because I'm 15mins from the beach.

    $3.95 yesterday for me.

It's this gas station near a small auto shop; everytime I pass by, there's this badass 1st Gen I want (minus the wheels)

This is maybe the 10th person this week hitting me up about my 4Runner.

However, I'm firming up to show one person the vehicle tomorrow. Even offered a cash deposit but I'm refusing to take a deposit; a person's word means much more.

Crazy right? I went back to hellinois for a family event last month and it was almost $4 a gallon. We had a literal gas shortage, what was it almost 70% of the states pumps dry of fuel, and it only got within a few cents of $3.
