One of the multitude of reasons why I keep full doors on my wheeler!!! Crawling in the AC is the way to roll!!

Got a lot of stuff lol
I already added ac back to my truck after a v8 swap. In south Florida you either die by the heat or by your windows fogging in the rain lol

thanks. My dad did a really good job on it and it works super well. Basically a buggy with a body on it

I still have full doors and ac haha. Just nobody to wheel with.. mainly to hot to work right now in the garage. Some local trails are a little higher elevation so are bearable but no one to go with.

the old 89 pickup I have has no ac and it just sits in the summer. I need the ac in Vegas to get around lol

Pictures of the jeepster with the body off. Some floor skins and door bars and he could wheel with no body haha481CD37A-C1D8-4CF3-B58D-2C699390879E.jpg9E859ECB-E470-4A04-9026-18BCAA5F10D0.jpg

This is pretty much what I'm doing with a cj3a this build season coming. With cruiser axles, and a 3rz.

Love the build he's done. I 'm as much a classic jeep guy as I am a toyota guy.

Grab a vacuum pump and a set of manifold gauges from Harbor Freight. Mine have paid for themselves many times over and all my vehicles have perfect AC. Non-negotiable on a wheeler for me

Figure out if you have pressure in the system first and then troubleshoot from there. If you have low pressure, then there’s a problem with a switch or clutch. If you don’t, you probably have a leak, you can suck it down with the vacuum pump to see if it holds vacuum to be sure. Then you just have to find the leak and fix it.

AC is less black magic than I’d ever imagined after troubleshooting a few systems. Think refrigerator repair but more spread out

Spare tire rack done. Pivots up out of the way so the drawer can slide out of the new box. Jack is mounted on top and will mount the cooler and probably a bin in the middle. Keeping it simple for now on the spare tire and using a strap to hold it down to the bed and another to hold it open while tilted back. Just need to fix the hydro assist clamp and it’ll be ready for rubicon. Also got most the templates for the center console done as well.

Little things done. Spare rack is done besides paint. Box is loaded with parts and tools. Tie down points on top. Just need to paint and bolt in the jack mount. Also welded in some studs between the rear frame for my spare driveline. No more bouncing around in the bed. And started on the center console skin.

Old tools are my favorite. New vertical metal bandsaw. Cut the center console skins like nothing. Should be useful to have

Another panel kind of done for the center console. Sheet metal work is no joke. I’ll have to learnt to tig to clean I up and I’ll put some dzus tabs later on AC8AC722-9AE4-4787-84AB-5956DA53B178.jpg49CF0B98-857B-41EA-8F9C-377503620B65.jpg

Dzus‘s are the best! I’ve been meaning to convert my bedsides to dzus fasteners for quite a while now

I have some threaded trick tabs and a bunch of dzus ones. I have a transfer punch for the dzus so think that would be easiest to mark the blind homes is the main reason.

Props to anyone whose good with sheet metal work. It’s hard and time consuming. All panels roughly fitted to get by for the rubicon. Need to practice tig welding to scab some pieces in and clean it up and then I’ll mount some dzus tabs for it
