I've got the Warrior as well and on my first trip the nuts holding the latch rattled loose. I tightened them down with Loctite and I haven't had any issues with them since. They're way better than the straps on my old soft shell RTT. Could be beefier, but again no issues.

Yeah I was never really a fan of the tank. I'm amazed by how well the plastic shell on the warrior has held up. If I had a camper shell, the Ninja would've worked awesome too.

    The aluminum is pretty stout.
It’s main draw is the fact that it has a rack on top and can items can be stored up there. Vs the abs plastic

But I agree. I’ve had all kinds of things on my plastic and hit it on all kinds of things. No issues. No cracks. And I try to mess my tent up on purpose just to see what the limits are.

Just wanted to remind everyone that the sale is still going on. Remember that some of the funds from this sale go toward helping a keep the west coast deserts clean from trash.

Been out with the tent with the fam once and my buddy with the iKamper came along. It was both of our first trips out with these tents so we got to really evaluate them side by side. Overall, the DA Warrior XL exceeded my expectations. There isn't much that the iKamper does that is much better or different. When you go into the very fine details the iKamper does take a slight lead. The DA for example has standard type hinges on the flip out base where as iKamper's looks to be a unique design and fold/comes together flat. The fabric seems very similar. Pretty high quality and rugged. Zipper quality and features are very similar with the DA taking a slight lead with with features/included accessories like the hanging bags, built in LED lighting, and possibly better mattress comfort (I didn't sleep in the iKamper but the DA Warrior XL mattress was very comfortable for me, my two kids and my wife). I'll give iKamper the slanted ladder design as well, the standard ladder on the DA does dig into your feet in a special way I didn't think was possible when you're going up and down it with socks on.

I did have an issue with shearing a bolt because I was moving too fast with a drill. Got in touch with Eric at DA and he sent me a few extras. I do like iKamper's new mounting design although that would not have worked with my rack because my cross bars are too wide.

All in all, for over $1k cheaper (closer to $2k when you consider free Annex room and accessories), I would have gone with the DA time and time again. It's really a no-brainer for me but does require some patience :)

I’ve been trying to get them to do the slant ladder. I’ll bring that up again.

Thanks for the review! Glad you like the tent.

I got these ladder rung pads from 23zero and it’s much easier on the feet. Only draw back is the thicker padding doesn’t allow the step below to push in the button when telescoping the ladder back in.

Ah I was thinking about getting some of these.

we were actually brainstorming on an idea to incorporate ladder pads the other night on a call with the DA folks. My feet are little princesses these days and I want to find a solution in regards to the ladder as well lol

I’m actually in the process of being a hired employee.

All tents and issues have been rectified through warranty. And those customers are out enjoying their tents and adventures.

I wish you could have had a better experience, but your posts here and over inflated concerns about a product you didn’t even have were a legitimate concern. There is no pleasing someone who is already pessimistic before they even have the product.

They sent me your tent, it's awesome. Thank you, plus I got it 20% off because of the interest your money drew. You are a great guy.

It actually has no issues out of the box, was in the dunes for a week and nothing on the inside. It's pretty cool

this right here is so infuriating. Your company profiled me, made an assumption about me. Made a decision about my needs with out discussing anything with me. Showed no respect for someone who paid for a product. In fact I think it might be time to express my dislike even more.

Shitty shifty way to treat a paying customer.

No one profiled you. Keep your politics off TW.

At this point, I’m sorry to say, you’re just posting to troll this thread. Your opinion has been voiced several times throughout this and other threads now. You’ve received your refund. I’m sorry for your subpar experience.

Think rationally for a second, you profiled the quality of the tent based off one post on TW.

You didn't even like it and had never laid eyes on it personally. You made yourself out to be "that guy", so to save money they just rerouted instead of paying for return shipping.... if you indeed work in logistics then you will understand this is common practice.

So stop crying foul when it was you that initiated the entire thing even before taking delivery.

Dude you were requesting a full refund because someone posted ONE tent with some issues on this forum. If YOU weren't on this forum you would've probably had a tent you loved right now. Please stop, we're all tired of this. DA still gave you a 100% refund even though their policy states that there is a restocking fee. You expected them to try and lose money on the shipping? I don't even understand what you're complaining about at this point. It's this same attitude that got your tent canceled. If you had reached out to Rich in private with your concerns I'd bet he would've spoken to you just fine but anyone calling a company expecting to talk to the owner and no one else about "quality concerns" over a product they haven't even seen should get their order canceled. If they had kept a penny from you I'd be on your side in this but they gave you a 100% refund against their own policy. Please go buy another tent and be happy bro, I'm seriously concerned about your health at this point.

They have an account on here. @desertarmor just because they don’t post doesn’t mean they don’t log on. Come on now.
But you can blame me for complaining about a product you’ve never seen. I’m cool with it.

Actually, last time I checked a business can refuse to do business with anyone they choose. They just didn't want to do business with you. I wouldn't either if someone was blowing me up asking me to prove to them that the quality of a product they ordered is perfect that they don't even have yet. What did you expect them to say? I don't get it. "Oh yes sir, our tents are 100% perfect don't worry"? "Oh no sir, we can't guarantee the quality of our tents?" Anything they said to you at that point would've been a lose lose situation for them. So, they took the high road, canceled your order for a 100% refund against their own policy just to make you happy.

I hate doing this but I enjoy the discussions about the product that most of us in here own and would like to keep this thread on-topic. We get your concerns, you've voiced them everywhere. It was also voiced before in this thread by other members as well and I knew that issues like this were possible before I placed my order and you should have too if you had read through this thread before placing your order which I'm sure you had. Please go complain somewhere else.

I’ve seen customers use it in high wind and rain before.
Let me see if I can find what they’ve said. Most of it is on Instagram so give me a few to find and post on here.
