    The Wharf is cool. It’s on the embarcadero too. It’s maybe 2 miles from the ballpark. There also the ferry building on embarcadero to go check out and eat all types of great food.

    I've stayed at the Powell Hotel.
    You can walk to the game and union square.
    The cable car turns around there too.
    Get a day pass for the cable car and u can go to the wharf and the Italian district for dinner.
    I've also taken Amtrak and the cost of Amtrak was cheaper than the daily parking fee at the hotels.

    SF is not a great place to park a car.

    Depending on the start time, you could stay almost anywhere along the Caltrain line and ride the train-it stops near the ball park. If it's an evening game, you'll need to get to the train before the last train leaves. Staying along the rail corridor might even be cheaper.
