i know this thread was last posted on December 4, but did you ever fix your issue?

I'm having an issue with mines on the front passenger side with the Door Ajar not coming on when the door is opened. Did every possible thing except checking to see if the wiring to the switch is probably bad with a tear or somethin. Lol LMK...

    See this schematic. http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old...toyewd/06toypdf/ewd/2006/tacoma/h/em01d13.pdf

I'm assuming that all the other doors work as designed and the door ajar and interior light comes on when they are opened.

If you want to test the door switch circuit. Remove the switch from the door jam you want to test. Disconnect the wire from the switch ( there is only one wire ). When you ground the wire to the chassis of the vehicle the door ajar should illuminate and the interior light should come on.

If it doesn't: You have an open in the wire, and loose connection somewhere or the Body ECU is broken.

Okay Team, I now have this same issue. My driver side door as of yesterday is indicating that it is open when it is not. I swapped the driver side door switch/pin/plunger over to the passenger side and the passenger side to the driver. The passenger side is working correctly, but the driver side is still registering as open. This tells me it is not the door sensor itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I'll try it out. Hoping it's not a bad ECU
