Check out NavRadio+ in the Android store. Very powerful in standalone mode and plays well with most launchers.

I tried it and it didn’t work. I was hoping to hook up my front cam using a splitter and have the built in DVR App record while driving. Didn’t recognize my camera. :/

I personally like the auto start on the Z link, b/c I use CarPlay almost exclusively. But I can def see how it would be a pun in the @$$ otherwise.

FWIW - the stock radio app is competent, but not flashy. However you need to make sure you have the tuning band set in the CAR options. Recalling from memory, mine was initially set to something like America1 and I think it needed to be America2 (or something like that). This needs to be operating correctly before something like NavRadio can leverage it.

Would this fix the stations showing/searching to the second decimal?

I can't remember the behavior exactly. I do remember getting "close" to a known local station and being frustrated that it wouldn't "lock on". After roaching around on the XDA forums, the tip on selecting the right tuning band led me to the right selection. After that, it worked as expected. Even with the stock radio app.

That may show up like the second decimal tuning problem you describe.

so, I had an issue with the HDMI, so I wrote Iris who said the HDMI is actually an output, not an input (which makes ZERO sense to me) - I haven’t confirmed yet.

let me know if you try and find anything different than what she said.

    That's right :facepalm:i forgot lol

Its for additional screens (like in head rests) for movies etc.

I agree, that's was a huge mistake on their part not to have a HDMI input.

Quick question for you gurus out there. I bought the unit pictured in the first image. But the power cable connector is not compatible with my stock cable used for the oem radio. (Second pic) I take it I need to buy an additional cable or cables. Anyone know what adapter I need or what cable to buy?

Yes via email today. But I know it takes a few days to hear back so figured I'd ask here as well. I just recieved the HU today and after reading this entire thread it seemed as though it would be plug-n-play but not the case with the one I recieved. Just a bummer is all but hey, it's from China so....

    Hey everyone,

hoping someone has the expertise to help:

I followed along this video to install my factory rear view mirror camera to the Dasaita head unit:

    https://youtu.be/baOHaIaxv1I

The problem is I get the error screen pictured.

I soldered an extension to a spare RCA, plugged the male RCA to the CAM VIN input on the back of the Dasaita. Then I ran a wire from the reverse indicator to the orange “back” wire on the Dasaita harness.

the reverse trigger clearly works, I’m just not getting any video signal!

    Any advice?

What year / model is your Tacoma? Do you have factory JBL? Mine was fully plug and play, so I’m curious why yours isn’t working.

Finally got my factory rear view mirror camera to display on my Dasaita head unit. Was the last piece to the puzzle for me. Now I have everything working 100%!! If anyone needs to do this, I can talk you through it.

That looks interesting. I was afraid the resolution in the rearview mirror display would be excessively blocky on the HU. It looks pretty good in your picture. What did you do to have it displayed in both and how difficult?

The resolution isn’t HD by any means but it isn’t bad at all. It wasn’t difficult at all. It took a little trial and error. I will try to get a write up going ASAP, but basically I got an RCA to wire cable off Amazon and an additional stretch of 16g wire, ran that from the HU to under the dash on the driver side. There’s 2 harnesses you need to tap into. One is for the reverse trigger and one is the RCA video tap.

I have mine working from a previous 2015 radio retrofit and camera anytime. I’m not a fan of the resolution. Sure it works but I never look at the radio because of it. Ended up getting an aftermarket camera/mirror setup.

I thought about getting an aftermarket set up, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of running the new wires. This was already there and so much easier. I can't vouch for yours but my resolution isn't bad at all. I can see everything in the rear view pretty clear - like I said, it def. isn't HD resolution, but definitely not so bad tat I wouldn't want to look at the radio. I even covered my rearview mirror with a wide view clip on mirror, so now the radio is my only source of backup camera.
