    Fuck man. That was crazy. All day was just pissing rain and breezy. About 4:30 I decide to hit Publix. Chuck the beautiful disaster (Cassi) in the truck and head out. Phone and radio start squawking about a tornado on the ground like 5 miles from my house. Zip home and then boom. Unbelievable rain. Lost power. Couldn’t see 20 feet in front of you. Fired up the Generac for about 40 minutes and then all was good. Lucky. Tree fell on a car not too far away and killed the driver.

    Glad I'm missing out on that action. I'm back in Vermont as of last night but in NYC in the last 3 weeks, there were a bunch of shootings, including a Marine that got shot in the head somewhere around Times Square. Couldn't pay me enough to live there.

    Thank you. After a week in the hospital, another two at a nearby hotel, I'm still working on getting back to normal. I swear the hotel room's AC got us all sick. My roommate came up for the first week+ of the hotel stay, she went back to FL feeling like shit. Then my sister and mom ended up getting a head cold or something too. And me, night sweats and a head cold. Makes recovering from surgery a bit more of a challenge, just glad I'm back in my mom's guest room and sleeping on my own bed.
