where are you located? I’m in Arkansas, we had dozens of hummers by this time last year but almost zero this year.

Good morning everyone!! I will be out painting the mower garage this morning - then I was invited to be a guest on a podcast this afternoon to talk about leadership and service. Thunderstorms predicted again for this afternoon. Ugh.

    Stay safe!!

I have been trying to attract Hummingbirds all year. I have a small feeder and replace the sugar water every other day. I think my problem is there are not enough clusters of trees nearby.

Utah, and we have about half the birds we had last year. About the same amount of orioles, but less hummers. We haven't seen meadowlarks for a couple of years, and they were once common.

Where in Arkansas? We lived in NW AR for about ten years. Loved it, except for the chiggers and ticks.

Yeah, hummers like a perch, and they also like something to hide in. But keep it up anyway. I'd bet you get some once they dscover the feeder.

A little something every chance we get.
:plane: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Get to be mobile today. Hair, Harbor Freight, Lowes (probably both), UPS drop, WalMart.... get all those trips lumped into one!

Gave the new system some "reality tests" yesterday. Can I haul the odd recycling run on top with minimum fuss? With the net, sure. Can I show my colors? Sure! I think this is gonna work out for me.

    Greenhouse envy!
Another Hummer feeder to check out is the Humm-Zinger. Multi-Perch, easy to clean. I think we have about the same number as last year, but not as often. The Red Poles apparently can get to it, because they hang out on them now and then. ONE year, we had beautiful Orioles. They were missing their home in the Bastrop Pines, which were burned the prior summer.
    Happy Hump-Friday y'all!

Here in Central Mo. the hummer situation is the same -- many last year -very few this year. I would like to know what happened this year!?

    Afternoon all:
    :ohsnap: It's hot!
Just got done mowing the lawn, figured I better get it done before Elsa moves through here. They are calling for scattered thunderstorms, isolated thunderstorms, and thunderstorms, everyday for about 5-6 days in a row. Still trying to figure out what the difference is between scattered and isolated thunderstorms!

Was going to mow yesterday, but my neighbors threatened me  They "allowed" me to walk the girls, although they said both together, but I walked them separately.... and they caught me digging in the dirt :anonymous: Tonight was waiting for the rain to start  o_O
