Now ... if only someone could tag me in a post with the wheel part number, the black lug nut part number, and the part number to the correct TPMS for these new wheels so I can buy the whole set up...

    CC, MTS, fancy brakes.

It should lack PTS as well, but I've seen conflicting info on that so I'm not sure exactly.

My level of regret for buying a ‘21 trail all depends on how they price this. All the new additions are “nice to haves” for me since I live in a place where I can’t off road. Don’t need the locker or lift. The wheels are dank, but they can be bought after the fact. I already grabbed an OEM pro grille with the black letters that look sick on my army green.

Because the main additions are “nice to haves” and I can’t imagine the ‘22 being cheaper than what I paid, I might actually end up happier that I got the ‘21. For my specific needs of course.

Does anyone know how the suspension lift they are including in the Trail edition compares to other aftermarket products?

From my understanding the Trail Edition will have an extended spring with the SR5 shock. Depending on the aftermarket product, it will be better for off-road purposes.

I think I read they’re putting block in the rear.

You are correct. Block in the rear and longer front springs with SR5 shocks.

A nicely equipped SR5 (which is essentially what this Trail Ed is) should have cruise control. Mine does.

CC in this case means Crawl Control

Ah yes. I should've known that but when I see "CC" I just assume cruise. Thanks.

I take my '14 in soon for frame inspection. I am going to get a quote on trade-in and see what I can do about getting a '22 Trail, if the price is right. I hope these dealers charging way above MSRP is done for '22.

This truck seems to be a smack in the face towards the off road trim level. Pro grill, repainted pro wheels, locker and a lift..... Seems like you would make your "lower" trim not so enticing over your "higher" trim. I mean come on, the lift should be on the offroad and for blank sakes, the offroad has had the same wheels since 2016! Good thing its limited production, if not, it would sell more than the offroad for sure as I think most can live without the MTS and crawl control.

Agreed. Toyota is digging deep on the Tacoma as it nears the end of its current lifespan. Love my truck, but the current model is getting stale in the face of fiercer competition and they are just trying to move a few more units. The new eye candy will probably prompt some current Tacoma owners to trade their trucks in earlier than they might have.

Hope to be in a position to buy my first Tacoma here when the 22’s come out. Thought I had decided on a TRD OR, but this Trail Edition definitely has my attention depending on the price and availability.
