    hello.

I have a 2004 3.4L auto purcahsed with the K&N FIPK cold air intake (not supercharged).

i noticed AFR's of 16-17 at WOT off my scangauge 2.

was looking online at reviews of the K&N intake and some said that the MAF is not in the correct location in reguards to the vaccume lines coming off the intake causing the lean condition.

recommended AFe or stock intake as the MAF is in the correct location.

decided to go with the AFe cause OEM replacement was too much.

anyway removed the K&N and installed the AFe (way better quality than the K&N BTW) then went for a ride and...... same result 16-17.7 AFT at WOT. WTF?

cruising throttle range gives me 14-14.8 AFR range.

I have a supercharger that i want to install but if it is already running lean i feel like the SC will blow it up.

    any suggestions?

does anyone else run scangauge 2 with stock airbox non SC? can you let me know what your AFR is at WOT?

    any help greatly appreciated

If you don't have a wbo2 welded into the exhaust than you don't know your afr.

thanks for the response. is there a problem with the scangauge?

i do have a sensor welded to the exhaust just having trouble getting my wiring from engine bay into the cab so i can install my standalone AFR.

for now all i have is reading off scangauge. I thought scangauge takes reading from the computer? computer picking up sock o2 sensor readings at 16-17 at WOT and sending it to scangauge? if not how is scangauge getting the AFR readings?

    thanks again

The stock o2 sensor is narrowband and not to be trusted at WOT.
