Making the trip 1st week of August to the Worlds longest yardsale to do some major picking. First leg of the trip we’re stopping overnight in Chattanooga to do the incline railway, mountains, Ruby Falls, etc. Next day travel 6-8 hours and venture around. Then head back and pick all the way home. Anyone else going or been? If so, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My GF has done this before but additional insight would be awesome.

Lookout MTN is a nice spot, downtown Chatta-vegas is fun. If a history buff, Chickamauga is just into Georgia. The biking scene has exploded around Chattanooga and in NW GA as well.

Shoot me a message when you’re in the area. I stay north of town near Kings Island, usually go down to Covington on the other side of the river for the sale though. They do a big run there.

The Chattanooga Experimental Distillery tour and tasting is worth the price of admission.

Downtown, directly across the street from the Chattanooga Choo Choo.

    A transitional neighborhood these days.

Also, Clyde's on Main for some good lunch or dinner BBQ.
60 seconds from the distillery, walking..

If you have time go have a burger at Zarzours in (downtown) Chattanooga - they (Shannon and her husband Dixie) are friends of mine. Their little restaurant has been there for over 100 years (same) family owned. We have a small horse farm about an hour outside Chattanooga (we are 2 hours from Nashville and 1 1/2 hours from Knoxville) - the yard sale runs through the main road (127) near our farm (we are 1 mile off the road). As for things to see in the area - Sequatchie Valley/Fall Creek Falls area (where we live) is beautiful and great for hiking/camping. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip.
