My 2000 4 cylinder prerunner is having issues where it starts and then stalls out immediately after. Sometimes we can get it to idle after fiddling with the accelerator pedal and even drivable- with extremely hesitant acceleration. We have replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the maf, and checked for fuel pressure- which seems to be pretty good. Could this be my injectors? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Check the egr is functioning correctly and all vacuum hoses aren’t brittle and are connected securely

Unlikely it’s injectors, kinda sounds like bad MAF sensor or an air leak in the intake piping after the MAF. Check for loose clamps or cracks in the tube.

This happened to me when my MAF was disconnected. I could sort of keep it running with throttle but couldn't get enough power to move the truck.

I have checked fuel pressure and the check engine light is on. I have cleaned the MAF with mass airflow sensor cleaner. I will double check my vacuum lines and other air hoses when I get a chance as well as the tps, iacv, and egr system. Thanks for the suggestions!

Have you gotten the code scanned for the check engine light? Curious to know what it is, it will point you in the right direction

I scanned for codes. It was the MAF. Thank you all very much for the help!

I had the same issue, no dealer near me. Installed a new maf from Oriellys and actually ran worse. Ordered a oem, cured the everything right up. Not sure why these trucks only like oem sensors but they do. Only one that is worse is my 7.3 power stroke. It will not run on any non oem sensor

Ya, these trucks are finicky like that. Some people get lucky with aftermarket sensors, at least short term. But OEM sensors are the way to go to fix a sensor issue. Sucks because some of them like the MAF are ridiculously expensive.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Any Toyota is sensitive to sensors. Denso is the only option 90% of the time.
